Delta has launched new service between Atlanta and Colombia as well as Sao Paulo and Orlando

This past weekend Delta launched new service between the Southeast U.S. and South America. From Atlanta, the airline will now serve Colombia and Cartagena. These flights are "performing with sold-out flights in 2016." From Brazil, travelers can journey from Sao Paulo to Orlando, FL. This will be the fourth U.S. gateway to Brazil. "Florida is a strategic destination for Delta, as it is the most popular family destination in the U.S. for Brazilians."

While three flights alone cannot overtake American Airlines' dominance in Latin America, Delta is not shying away from challenging American in one of its strongholds.
