Citi offering targeted 50,000 bonus mile offer to AAdvantage members

Earlier this month, Citibank reduced the generally available signup bonus on the Citi/AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard to 30,000 miles. However, yesterday, I received a mailer offering the card with 50,000 bonus miles but labeled as a "special offer for AAdvantage members." This is despite the fact that all the links on the American Airlines website that I could see were only offering 30,000 miles as a bonus. The mailer offer does carry the standard requirement of $3,000 spend in the first three months of card membership and is stated to run through July 31, 2015.
