American Airlines will begin LAX-HAV service by the end of the year

American Airlines will begin LAX-HAV service by the end of the year

From FrequentBusinessTraveler.com, American Airlines (they wrote "Airways" but I assume they are referring to AA) "announced that new non-stop service between Los Angeles and Havana will begin later this year." This comes on the heels of other service to Havana in recent months by Eastern Airlines and JetBlue.

While I have not traveled to the Caribbean, I want to visit the region in the near future. From my home in Atlanta, an extended weekend trip to an island would be feasible and I am very excited about the possibility of getting to Cuba. While I don't want to be the very first wave of Americans, I would like to experience Havana before it becomes just like any other Caribbean destination.
