A gift from Delta: 1,000 SkyMiles

Delta Air Lines is offered certain Delta Credit Card members 1,000 bonus SkyMiles

Yesterday, I received another promotional email from Delta Air Lines. Sometimes, I do not open these since they often promote a fare sale to a place I have limited interest in visiting and even more limited time for traveling. I am glad I opened this particular message, however. Delta was offering a "gift" of 1,000 SkyMiles just for clicking the link in the email. This is hardly unheard of - last year, American Airlines offered 1,000 AAdvantage miles for attending AAdvantage University. Delta's offer was simply because I am Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card member.

We’re giving you 1,000 bonus miles simply for being a valued Card Member. No catch. Just register to redeem. Enjoy them along with all the miles you’re earning on everyday purchases with your Card.

I clicked the link provided and by today, 1,000 SkyMiles had been deposited into my account. I can't say this will prompt me to use my SkyMiles Amex card more frequently - I usually pay for Delta airfare with either my Citi Prestige Card or my Citi ThankYou Premier Card to get triple ThankYou points on travel purchases including airfare - but I do appreciate the gesture!

This offer appears to be a targeted as the terms state "only Delta Credit Card Members who receive this communication directly from Delta Air Lines are eligible to redeem this offer." You must register for the promotion by July 20, 2016. So, if you are a Delta Credit Card member, be sure to check your email to see if you too can score 1,000 SkyMiles!
