Delta picking up its toys and going home - WAAH!

Delta was upset that the Atlanta institution, the Fox Theatre, which the airline has sponsored for over 20 years, hosted a gala by Qatar Airways that celebrated the launch of Qatar's Doha-Atlanta route.  Delta took affront at this and decided to cancel its sponsorship of the theater, effective next year. I find this utterly childish and petty.

Delta and KLM partner with India's Jet Airways

Delta Air Lines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines yesterday announced a new codeshare agreement with India's Jet Airways. The agreement takes effect March 27, 2016 and includes new Jet Airways flights between Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport and the Indian subcontinent. Delta and KLM will offer codeshares to and within India on Jet Airways-operated flights while Jet will offer codeshares to North America and within Europe on Delta and KLM flights.

Delta adding service from Minneapolis to Reykjavik, Iceland

Delta Air Lines will begin service from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Reykjavik, Iceland, using a Boeing 757-200ER, in May 2016. This represents Delta's second US destination from Iceland and the fifth European destination for the airline out of its Twin Cities hub.
